Hilary Duff just delivered her most personal project yet.
The multi-platinum star officially released her sixth studio album ‘luck… or something’ today via Atlantic Records. Co-written by Duff and produced by her husband, Grammy-winning producer Matthew Koma, and Brian Phillips, the 11-track collection features previously released singles ‘Mature’ and ‘Roommates,’ and arrives alongside a new music video for standout opening track ‘Weather For Tennis.’
Speaking on the project, Duff said:
“There’s that question of whether women can have it all, and through this process I learned I had to sacrifice some things in order to put the record first. As hard as that is, I still believe it’s okay to choose yourself sometimes and do what scares the hell out of you.”
The album explores motherhood, marriage, and finding herself in her 30s, uncovering hidden longings, quiet insecurities, and deepest obsessions with equal parts sensitivity and wit. Rolling Stone praised it as “a cohesive, no-skips record that offers an update on Duff’s life… a pop record that holds very little back.”
She’ll celebrate the release with ‘the lucky me tour,’ her first full-scale global headline run in nearly two decades, kicking off June 21 in West Palm Beach. Due to massive demand, second nights have been added in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, London, and more. Tickets are on sale now at hilaryduff.com/live.
