Charlie Puth is sharing a deeply personal new message with fans.
The multi-platinum artist has released ‘Beat Yourself Up,’ the latest single from his highly anticipated album ‘Whatever’s Clever!,’ arriving March 27.
Co-produced by Puth and BLOODPOP, the track is accompanied by an official music video directed by Hunter Moreno.
Opening up about the song’s origins, Puth revealed it started as a message he wanted to share with a friend:
“‘Beat Yourself Up’ started as something I wanted to tell a friend. We’ve never been the heart-to-heart types, so I wrote it in a song instead. I wanted to tell him that even though he has made mistakes along the way, he shouldn’t be so hard on himself. That things will get better and he’s not alone. While writing it, I soon realized this wasn’t just for my friend but myself and so many others who can be hard on themselves. It’s a message to keep going and be kinder to yourself.”
The release continues to set the stage for what’s shaping up to be the singer-songwriter’s most personal and explorative era yet. It also follows news of his biggest world tour to date, which will see him fill arenas across the globe throughout 2026.
As reported, the trek kicks off April 22 at San Diego’s Viejas Arena and spans 34 North American dates before heading to Europe and the United Kingdom this summer. Tickets go on sale today at charlieputh.com.
Puth will also be performing the US National Anthem at the Super Bowl 2026 on February 8.
Busy times!
