Lola Young has broken her silence three months after collapsing onstage, marking her return to social media with a heartfelt message of gratitude and hope.
The 24-year-old British singer took to Instagram on Saturday to thank supporters for giving her the space needed to heal following her September 27 collapse at New York’s All Things Go Festival.
The ‘Messy‘ hitmaker posted her first update since announcing an indefinite hiatus back in September, signaling a tentative return to public life.
In the emotional message, Young shared:
- “I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place. I’ve felt so much love and support from you all and it has helped more than you will ever know.”
The south Londoner went on to reveal her plans moving forward:
“I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams. Happy holidays to you all and can’t wait to see you in 2026. Life is a journey, nothing is perfect but today I am doing well. All my love always, Lola x”
The post came just one day after the singer made her first public appearance since the collapse, stepping out at Lily Allen‘s Christmas party in London alongside Olivia Rodrigo.
Young had been performing her song ‘Conceited‘ at Forest Hills Stadium when she visibly struggled before dropping her microphone and falling backward. Her team rushed to assist her as concerned fans looked on. Days later, she canceled all scheduled performances, posting on September 30 that she needed to step away from music to focus on her well-being. The artist had been set to embark on an extensive tour supporting her third album ‘I’m Only F**king Myself‘, released just days before the collapse.
