The boxing world witnessed a brutal reality check as Anthony Joshua delivered a devastating knockout to Jake Paul in their highly anticipated Netflix showdown.
The former two-time heavyweight champion methodically dismantled the YouTuber-turned-boxer over six rounds at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Friday night.
Despite Paul’s attempts to survive through lateral movement and evasion, the British fighter’s superior size, reach, and championship pedigree proved insurmountable.
The bout turned brutal in the fifth round when the 37-year-old dropped Paul twice. Sensing his opponent was finished, Joshua unleashed a punishing assault in the sixth, flooring the 27-year-old twice more before referee Christopher Young halted the contest at 1:31.

Speaking post-fight about the extended bout, Joshua said:
“It wasn’t the best performance. The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination.”
Paul later revealed on social media that the knockout punch broke his jaw in two places, requiring surgery to insert titanium plates.
Despite the devastating loss – his first by stoppage – the Ohio native vowed to continue boxing, targeting the cruiserweight division after recovery.
Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) immediately called out fellow Brit Tyson Fury for a potential mega-fight.
