‘Love Island: All Stars’ viewers got a surprise during the premiere when Scott van-der-Sluis arrived as a bombshell entry.
The 25-year-old Series 10 Islander is back for another shot at love, and he’s bringing a more mature perspective this time around.
In a candid Q&A, the reality star opened up about why he returned and what fans can expect from his second villa stint.
Check it out:
Why do you want to come back to Love Island?
“Since my time on Love Island 10, I think I’ve been on a journey for the last two and half years and I’ve always had in my head that All Stars is the final chapter of that journey. That’s all I’m missing so it would be nice to find something real and find someone to care about.”
How will you approach it differently/ what will you still do the same?
“I think I will just be myself, there’s shows that I’ve done since my first series on Love Island where I don’t feel like I’ve been myself, especially in America but I want to bring an updated version of myself now I’m a bit older. I got involved in quite a few situations last time where I look back and wonder if I should have said something, but I don’t think I’ll hold back this time, I want to stamp my authority.”
What personal growth are you hoping the audience sees this time?
“I came across very maturely last time but I still felt like a little boy at times, surrounded by older people. I feel like I’m now one of those people that can go in as an adult in their mid twenties who knows more about what they want in life compared to the 22 year old me.”
What kind of energy do you want to bring to the boys dressing room each night?
“Fun, a lot of people thought I was quite boring at times before, they did like me for that because I only got involved in situations I had to get involved in, but there’s definitely a personality that my friends and family see.”
What’s been going on in your dating life/life in general since we last saw you?
“I think my dating life has been pretty publicised, I’ve done three shows and I’ve been to two different continents but I’ve always wanted to come home. Love Island is home to me and I’ve always wanted to complete the full circle. After this I am truly retired, I can confidently say I will be truly retired.”
Are you looking forward to being in South Africa?
“I’ve never been to Africa, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been to Mallorca, Fiji, Mexico and now South Africa so I can’t wait.”
‘Love Island: All Stars’ continues on ITV2 daily at 9pm.
