Johnny Depp is going full humbug in the eerie new trailer for ‘Ebenezer’.
Paramount Pictures has unleashed a fresh look at the Christmas fantasy, transforming Depp into Charles Dickens’ famously cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge and leaning heavily into the supernatural side of the timeless tale.
The new footage finds Scrooge confronted by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as his tightly controlled world begins to unravel around him.

Directed by Ti West, the filmmaker behind ‘X’, ‘Pearl’ and ‘MaXXXine’, this version of ‘A Christmas Carol’ appears to be embracing a darker, more gothic atmosphere than many of the story’s festive screen adaptations.
Depp is joined by Ian McKellen as Jacob Marley, Rupert Grint as Bob Cratchit, Andrea Riseborough as the Ghost of Christmas Past and Tramell Tillman as the Ghost of Christmas Present. Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, Arthur Conti and Ellie Bamber also feature.
The movie carries extra weight for Depp, too. As reported, ‘Ebenezer’ will be his first major wide studio release since 2018’s ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’.
‘Ebenezer’ arrives exclusively in theaters on November 13.
