Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for ‘Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing,’ a behind-the-scenes docu-series diving into the dazzling and dramatic world of competitive ice dance ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The three-part series, dropping February 1, comes from the team behind ‘Simone Biles Rising’ and follows elite ice dance partnerships as they chase Olympic glory on the road to Milano Cortina. At the center are American favorites Madison Chock and Evan Bates, along with Canada’s Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, described as “campy Canadians,” and France’s wild card duo Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry.
The newly released trailer promises high stakes, raw emotion, and an intimate look at what happens when lifelong partnerships, both romantic and platonic, collide with the pressure of Olympic competition. From intense training sessions to the creative artistry required to stand out, the series explores how these athletes push the boundaries of their sport while navigating the personal dynamics that can make or break a partnership on ice.

Directed by Katie Walsh and produced by Olympic Channel and Religion of Sports, the documentary arrives just ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony on February 6.
The series continues the streamer’s collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, which previously produced three Olympian-led documentaries tied to the Paris 2024 Summer Games. For figure skating fans eager to see what it really takes to reach the podium, this looks like essential viewing before the Games begin.
