David Beckham is maintaining radio silence in the wake of his son’s explosive family statement.
The soccer icon made his first public appearance Tuesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, just hours after Brooklyn Beckham unleashed a scathing six-page Instagram takedown of his parents. When confronted by Sky News reporters with direct questions about the family drama, the 50-year-old refused to engage.
Sky’s business correspondent Paul Kelso asked the former England captain:
“Do you have a message for Brooklyn this morning?”
The Inter Miami co-owner walked past without responding. He was also asked if he was disappointed that family business was being aired publicly, but again chose silence over comment.
Looking noticeably weary despite maintaining a smile for the cameras, the freshly knighted footballer was at Davos to record a podcast with science author Adam Grant about “resilience, failure, regret, and disappointment.” The timing of that particular topic couldn’t be more pointed, given the current family crisis unfolding in real time.

As reported here on Fresh Quench, Brooklyn’s statement contained devastating allegations, including claims that Victoria Beckham hijacked his first dance at his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz Beckham and danced inappropriately on him, leaving him feeling humiliated. The 26-year-old also accused his parents of trying to sabotage his marriage, controlling press narratives, and prioritizing “Brand Beckham” over genuine family bonds.
Neither David nor Victoria has issued any official statement addressing the accusations. Representatives for the couple have not responded to multiple media requests for comment.
