A slick game of cat and mouse commences in ‘Crime 101.’
Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled an early preview of Chris Hemsworth’s next big-screen pivot by way of a featurette offering a stylish tease of the high-stakes thriller set to hit theaters early next year.
The first look clip introduces Hemsworth as Davis, an elusive master thief plotting what he hopes will be his final score. His carefully planned operation collides with Sharon, played by Halle Berry, a burned-out insurance executive pulled unwillingly into his orbit. Complicating matters further is Orman, a far more unhinged rival thief portrayed by Barry Keoghan, whose methods raise the danger level considerably.
As the heist draws closer, relentless detective Lt. Lubesnik, played by Mark Ruffalo, begins closing in, blurring the lines between hunter and hunted. The footage hints at moral gray areas, tightening tension, and consequences no one can escape.
Written and directed by Bart Layton and based on Don Winslow’s novella, ‘Crime 101’ arrives in theaters in the U.S., UK, and other international markets on February 13.
