Atlantic Music Group is shouting yeehaw in a major way.
The music industry giant is expanding its footprint in Country and Americana with the launch of Atlantic Outpost, a new label dedicated to the genres.
The imprint is co-headed by Jeff Levin, who also serves as Co-Head of Pop and Rock A&R, and Ian Cripps, Executive Vice President of A&R at Atlantic.
With offices in both Los Angeles and Nashville, Atlantic Outpost will focus on nurturing Country artists and singer-songwriters operating at the intersection of mainstream and roots music.
Though no official signings have been revealed (yet!), the label will build on Atlantic’s growing roster of Country-influenced talent, including Bailey Zimmerman, Sam Barber, Willow Avalon, and Cameron Whitcomb.
Levin and Cripps have already been instrumental in several high-profile projects. They helped guide Zimmerman’s hit feature on BigXthaPlug’s ‘All the Way,’ which reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart earlier this year. The duo also contributed to the success of the Twisters soundtrack, which became the first Country compilation to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 since 2011.
With Country turning up the volume in a major way, Atlantic Outpost is poised to become a notable player thanks to its big backing.
