Netflix are ready for the…new!
The streamer may have closed the chapter on a few era-defining hits, but it’s gearing up an exiting fresh run..
This time last year, the platform was hyping upcoming seasons of ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Wednesday,’ and ‘Squid Game.’ Two of those journeys have now wrapped, while the Jenna Ortega-led drama is notably absent from the 2026 schedule. Still, subscribers will hardly be left wanting.
As part of its annual ‘Next on Netflix’ reveal, the service rolled out an expansive lineup of scripted series, unscripted hits, live events and sports programming stretching well into 2026.
Rather than hosting a lavish live showcase, Netflix opted for a more whimsical rollout, complete with tarot cards and an animatronic Teyana Taylor offering readings in New York later this month.
Returning favorites like ‘Outer Banks,’ ‘The Gentlemen,’ ‘Black Doves,’ and ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender.’ headline the year, alongside major franchise continuations, prestige dramas and a packed unscripted slate.
