A new cosmetic trend is raising eyebrows and stomachs alike. Patients across the US are reportedly opting for Brazilian butt lifts and breast enhancements using fat taken from dead donors, a practice some surgeons are openly calling “off-the-shelf fat.”
According to a recent report by the New York Post, the injectable filler, known as AlloClae, is made from sterilized fat harvested from donated cadavers. It is designed for patients who are too slim for traditional fat transfer procedures or who have already undergone liposuction.
Doctors offering the treatment say demand is surging, particularly for BBLs, breast contouring, and hip dip correction. The product is FDA-compliant and classified as a human tissue product, meaning it can be used without full FDA approval.

Prices reportedly start around $10,000 and can climb far higher depending on volume.
While surgeons insist the donor tissue is heavily screened and purified, the idea of using fat from the dead has sparked intense debate online. Supporters call it groundbreaking. Critics call it unsettling.
Hmm.
