Lucy and Stephen’s toxic love story is officially coming to an end.
Creator Meaghan Oppenheimer announced Monday that Hulu’s ‘Tell Me Lies’ won’t be returning for a fourth season, with tonight’s season three finale serving as the series finale.
The final episode drops at 9 PM PT/12 AM ET.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Oppenheimer said:
“After three amazing seasons of Tell Me Lies, tonight’s episode will be the series finale. This was always the ending my writing team and I had in mind, and we are insanely proud of it. Your incredible response to this season inspired us to explore whether there was another organic way to continue the story, but ultimately we felt it had reached its natural conclusion.”
She added that while it’s bittersweet, she’s grateful the show gets to close out with “an intentional ending, a privilege very few shows get.”
The drama, starring Grace Van Patten and Jackson White, follows the addictive and destructive relationship between Lucy and Stephen, unfolding across two timelines spanning 2008 and 2015. The pair, who have been dating in real life since meeting during the audition process, delivered performances that kept fans hooked across all three seasons.
