Reese Witherspoon is officially taking fans back to the very beginning of Elle Woods, with Prime Video locking in a premiere date and already doubling down on the future.
The streamer has confirmed that ‘Elle’, the long-awaited Legally Blonde prequel series, will debut exclusively on Prime Video on July 1. Even before audiences press play, the platform has also greenlit a second season.
The coming-of-age series follows Elle Woods during her high school years, unpacking the formative moments that shaped the confident, unapologetic icon first introduced in the original film.
Newcomer Lexi Minetree steps into the pink heels as the younger Elle, with the cast also featuring June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, and James Van Der Beek among others.
The early Season Two pickup signals strong confidence in the project, positioning ‘Elle’ as a long-term expansion of the beloved franchise.
