The journey of Jamie and Claire Fraser is coming to an end.
Starz has released a new trailer and poster for the eighth and final season of ‘Outlander’, which premieres on March 6 in the US on Starz and March 7 on MGM+ in the UK.
The historical drama, based on Diana Gabaldon‘s beloved book series, will see Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe return as the iconic couple for one last chapter.
Season 8 picks up with Jamie and Claire discovering that war has followed them home to Fraser’s Ridge, which has grown into a thriving settlement during their absence. The couple must maintain a united front against outside threats while grappling with unburied family secrets that threaten to tear them apart from within. As new arrivals and changes test their bond, the Frasers face difficult questions about what they’re willing to sacrifice for their home and for each other.
Joining Heughan and Balfe in the cast are Sophie Skelton as Brianna MacKenzie, Richard Rankin as Roger MacKenzie, John Bell as Young Ian, David Berry as Lord John Grey, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter.
While Jamie and Claire may have left the war for America’s freedom behind, their fight for Fraser’s Ridge is only just beginning.
