Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are bringing major heat to the promo trail for their upcoming romance movie ‘Wuthering Heights’, thanks to a steamy new cover shoot for Vogue Australia.
The co-stars front the magazine’s February 2026 issue, which lands on sale February 2, and they use the accompanying chat to spotlight something they share off-screen too: both are Queensland natives who grew up far from the industry machine.
Reflecting on how wild the moment feels, Margot said:
“I mean, it is kind of hilarious that two Queenslanders are the lead of this iconic British literary classic. Because we’re not even from Sydney, you know? Everyone in Australia’s probably like, ‘These couple of bogans …’… I remember thinking it was so far away and so impossible to be from the Gold Coast and make it in Hollywood. I think if someone had done it before me, from even just anywhere in Queensland, I think I would have gone after it sooner.”
Jacob also looked back at his earliest daydreams of getting discovered:
“I remember there was a period where I was thinking if I just hang out around Movie World, maybe I’ll get cast. Maybe someone from the studios would walk past, having a cigarette.”
The 35-year-old actress also revealed she had a rare wobble while locking in Cathy:
“I felt like I couldn’t find Cathy for so long, and it was freaking me out as well. It was the strangest thing. I don’t think I’ve ever gone that far into the movie and been like, I don’t have the character yet. Usually I do so much prep, and I did prep a lot this time, but, you know, less.”
As for the vibe on set, Elordi compared it to making ‘Saltburn’ and admitted winter in London hit hard:
“I found it completely different. I had a completely different experience. First of all, I started in January. I hadn’t done London like that before. When we shot Saltburn, it was that one summer where the sun was out the whole time. I didn’t expect to get so out of sorts. Waking up every day, it’s so dark and so cold. I think I was base-level depressed …”
