Prince William and Kate Middleton are breaking their silence on the latest Epstein document release.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed Monday that the royals have been “deeply concerned by the continuing revelations,” adding, “Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.” The statement comes after over 3 million pages of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein files were released by the U.S. Department of Justice earlier this month.
Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, King Charles‘ brother who was stripped of his royal title in October over his ties to the late sex offender, was mentioned and pictured multiple times throughout the documents. Though he wasn’t named directly in the palace statement, the timing and context made the reference clear.
Last week, Mountbatten-Windsor was ordered to move out of his Windsor home earlier than planned following the document drop. He’s now living at the King’s privately owned Sandringham Estate.
The former prince maintained a longtime friendship with Epstein and stayed in contact with him even after his 2008 conviction of procuring a child for prostitution. He’s previously apologized and denied wrongdoing, but the new documents include a photo of him that appears to show him with Virginia Giuffre, who alleged she was forced to have sex with him as a teenager. He’d insisted the photo was doctored. In 2022, he reached a settlement with Giuffre that included no apology or admission of liability. Giuffre died by suicide in April 2025.
The statement arrives as Prince William heads to Saudi Arabia for an official visit to meet the crown prince in an effort to strengthen the UK’s relationship with the country.
