Netflix has renewed ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ for a fifth season, announcing the news just ahead of Season 4’s February 5 premiere.
The hit legal drama, produced in partnership with A+E Studios, will return for 10 episodes inspired by ‘Resurrection Walk’, the seventh book in author Michael Connelly‘s series. The show follows Los Angeles attorney Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), a lawyer navigating his redemption journey after battling addiction, supported by his ex-wives Maggie (Neve Campbell) and Lorna (Becki Newton), his driver Izzy (Jazz Raycole), and investigator Cisco (Angus Sampson).
Season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger, with Mickey being arrested after a client’s body was discovered in the trunk of his Lincoln. The upcoming fourth season, based on ‘The Law of Innocence’, the sixth book in the series, will see the attorney defending himself in a murder trial. He’ll go head-to-head with prosecutor Dana Berg (Constance Zimmer), who has connections to Maggie.
Season 4 brings an impressive roster of guest stars, including Elliott Gould, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cobie Smulders, Sasha Alexander, Lana Parrilla, Jason O’Mara, and Kyle Richards.
Co-showrunners and executive producers Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez shared their excitement:
“We’re so excited to share the upcoming fourth season with the audience on February 5th and even more excited to share the news that we’re already hard at work on the next one. Season 4 is the most challenging and intensely personal journey we’ve taken Mickey Haller on yet, and we’re thrilled and grateful to be able to continue the ride in Season 5.”
The series is executive produced by David E. Kelley, Humphrey, Connelly, Rodriguez, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, and Matthew J. Lieberman. Kelley created the series for television, with Humphrey developing the book series for TV.
