It’s official. One of British television’s most familiar faces is stepping into a brand new spotlight. Claudia Winkleman is set to front her very own chat show on BBC One, marking a major next chapter in her decades-long broadcasting career.
The announcement confirms months of industry buzz, with the BBC revealing the series will launch in spring 2026 on BBC One and iPlayer.
Produced by So Television, the company behind Graham Norton’s long-running talk show, the format will see Winkleman welcome major names from film, television, and music to her sofa for lively conversations in front of a studio audience.
Reacting to the news, the’ Traitors’ host struck her trademark tone, saying:
“I can’t quite believe it and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I’m obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I’m over the moon they’re letting me try.”
The move comes after her recent departure from ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ which she co-hosted alongside Tess Daly for more than a decade, and follows a standout year that also saw her awarded an MBE by King Charles III. BBC executives have hailed her as a “true national treasure,” praising her ability to put both guests and audiences instantly at ease.
Folks can expect further details, including air dates and guest line-ups, to be revealed in the coming months.
