There may be some familiar faces missing when ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ returns for Season 8. With filming not yet underway, Bravo is reportedly taking its time with the cast — and according to insiders, a shake-up could be on the way.
Page Six reports that Guerdy Abraira and Julia Lemigova are both on the chopping block ahead of the new season. The two, who went from close friends to on-screen rivals during Season 7, may not be invited back — and sources hint a third surprise cast exit could also be in the cards. Meanwhile, Stephanie Shojaee, who joined the cast last season, is reportedly not fully committed to returning for a second go-round.
The future of Alexia Nepola is also under consideration, with production reportedly navigating the fallout of a $10 million defamation lawsuit filed against the network by her on-again, off-again ex-husband, Todd Nepola. That said, Todd filed to dismiss the suit with prejudice back in December, and insiders note showrunners have successfully worked around his drama before. Sources also point to a less-than-stellar panel at BravoCon 2025 in November as another factor giving execs pause.
Conversations about kicking off production in April have reportedly taken place, though no dates are locked and contracts haven’t gone out yet. Still, the show is said to not be “on pause” — Bravo is simply being deliberate about getting the lineup right.
Andy Cohen addressed the delay on his SiriusXM show, telling listeners he loves ‘Miami’ and that the network is focused on keeping it fresh. He acknowledged the longer-than-usual wait but noted it’s not unheard of in the “Bravosphere,” pointing to ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ and ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ as cities that have weathered similar gaps between seasons.
