Apple TV has given ‘Shrinking’ the green light for a fourth season, announcing the renewal just one day before the comedy-drama’s third season premiere.
The beloved series, which stars Emmy nominees Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, has quickly become a fan favorite since its debut. Season 3 kicks off with an hour-long first episode, with the remaining 10 episodes rolling out every Wednesday through April 8.
At the heart of the new season is Jimmy (Segel), a grieving therapist navigating the complexities of moving forward. That theme extends beyond just his character, touching his colleague Paul Rhoades (Ford), Gaby (Jessica Williams), and their entire circle of neighbors and patients. The ensemble cast also features Christa Miller, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, Luke Tennie, and Ted McGinley.
Season 3 welcomes back guest stars Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders. New additions include Jeff Daniels, activist Michael J. Fox, Candice Bergen, Sherry Cola, and Isabella Gomez.
The show is produced for Apple TV+ by Warner Bros. Television, where co-creator Bill Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals. It marks the third collaboration between Apple, Lawrence, and Warner Bros., following the Emmy-winning ‘Ted Lasso’ and Vince Vaughn’s ‘Bad Monkey’.
Lawrence also has the ‘Scrubs’ reboot premiering at the end of February and ‘Rooster’ starring Steve Carell and Charly Clive coming in March.
