The first trailer has arrived for ‘Melania’, a new Amazon documentary centered on Melania Trump, offering a rare look at the former first lady during a pivotal moment that shaped her public and personal life.
Set across the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration, the film promises unprecedented access, as described by Amazon. Cameras follow Melania through critical meetings, quiet preparations, and private conversations, positioning the project as an intimate portrait rather than a traditional political documentary.
The trailer is framed by the tagline “Witness history in the making.”
Directed by Brett Ratner, the project has already sparked conversation due to the filmmaker’s controversial past. The preview itself keeps the focus on the Trumps, featuring President Donald Trump alongside his wife as they discuss legacy and leadership, with Melania later declaring, “Everyone wants to know, so here it is.”
Speaking about the project, Melania said:
“The 20 days of my life, preceding the US presidential inauguration, constitutes a rare and defining moment. I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life with moviegoers and fans across the globe.”
Amazon reportedly paid $40 million for the documentary, which is set for a theatrical release on January 30, alongside plans for a companion docuseries exploring her life between New York, Washington, DC, and Palm Beach.
