Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are staying in the Netflix game.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a first-look deal with the streamer through Archewell Productions, the company they launched in 2020.
Having previously teamed up with the entertainment juggernaut, the new pact is looser.
Since teaming up with the streamer, the couple has produced a slate of buzzy titles, including ‘Harry & Meghan,’ ‘Heart of Invictus,’ and Meghan’s lifestyle hit ‘With Love, Meghan,’ which returns for season two later this month.
A new festive special, ‘Holiday Celebration,’ will debut in December (aptly) and promises festive recipes, décor tips, and an inside look at their Montecito home.
The renewed partnership also strengthens Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever, which will continue to expand alongside future Netflix projects.
Upcoming releases include documentary short ‘Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within’ and a feature adaptation of Carley Fortune’s romantic bestseller ‘Meet Me at the Lake.’
Speaking on the partnership, Markle said in a statement:
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand. My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
Bela Bajaria, Netflix chief content officer, added:
“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere. The response to their work speaks for itself — ‘Harry & Meghan’ gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. More recently, fans have been inspired by ‘With Love, Meghan,’ with products from the new As Ever line consistently selling out in record time. We’re excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together.”
