Set in the high-stakes world of pro football, the film stars breakout Tyriq Withers as Cameron Cade, a rising quarterback whose dreams derail after a violent attack leaves him with traumatic brain injuries just before the NFL Combine.
Enter Marlon Wayans in what many are touting as a career-redefining dramatic role as Isaiah White, a godlike eight-time champion quarterback who swoops in to “mentor” Cam at his remote training compound.
But nothing is what it seems. At all
As Cam trains under Isaiah’s golden glow, a darker world is uncovered. Not just with White, but with his influencer wife (Julia Fox) and wider circle of chaos.
He is left to navigate whether he is willing to do all that it supposedly takes to be the greatest.
Directed by Justin Tipping, and produced by Peele, (under his Monkeypaw Productions umbrella), ‘HIM’ looks poised to live up to its buzzy billing.
