Ryan Gosling is heading to space, and the final trailer just dropped during the Super Bowl.
Amazon MGM Studios unveiled the last look at ‘Project Hail Mary’ during Sunday’s big game, giving fans a thrilling glimpse at the sci-fi epic based on Andy Weir‘s New York Times best-selling novel. Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, the film hits theaters and IMAX on March 20.
The story follows science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling), who wakes up on a spaceship light-years from home with zero memory of who he is or how he got there. As his memory slowly returns, he discovers his mission: solve the mystery of a strange substance causing the sun to die out. Armed with his scientific knowledge and unconventional ideas, he must save Earth from extinction, but an unexpected friendship means he might not have to do it alone.
The cast also includes Sandra Hüller, James Ortiz, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, and Priya Kansara. Gosling also serves as producer alongside Amy Pascal, Lord, Miller, Aditya Sood, Rachel O’Connor, and Weir.
Filmed for IMAX, ‘Project Hail Mary’ is a Pascal Pictures, Open Invite Films/Waypoint Entertainment, and Lord Miller Production.
