Don’t expect Bad Bunny to jump ship to AEW anytime soon.
Wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez addressed the Puerto Rican superstar’s status with WWE on Wrestling Observer Live, confirming he’ll be back in the ring with the company soon despite recent calls for AEW to sign him.
The speculation kicked off after U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego tweeted for AEW president Tony Khan to bring in the Grammy winner.
“He’s tweeting for Tony Khan to bring in Bad Bunny,” Alvarez said, with co-host Lance Storm adding that Gallego appeared “unaware that Bad Bunny has wrestled quite a bit.”
Alvarez didn’t leave much room for doubt, stating:
“Bad Bunny is going to end up back in WWE very soon. Sooner rather than later, everybody, just so you all know.”
The 31-year-old has been vocal about his stance on U.S. immigration enforcement, most recently at the Grammy Awards last week. While accepting the award for Best Música Urban Performance, he declared:
“ICE out. We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans.”
The news comes ahead of Bad Bunny headlining the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show tomorrow (February 8) at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.
