Ben Stiller is turning the lens on his own family in a new Apple TV+ documentary titled ‘Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost,’ a heartfelt tribute to his parents, iconic comedy duo Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.
Set to premiere in select theaters and stream globally on October 24, the feature marks a deeply personal project for the Emmy and DGA Award-winning director.
The film dives into the remarkable partnership of Stiller and Meara, both on stage and at home, exploring how their trailblazing work in comedy fused family life and shaped those around them.
Along the way, Stiller reflects on his own upbringing and examines the legacy his parents left behind, both professionally and personally.
Speaking on the venture, the Hollywood titan said:
“I feel very fortunate to be partnering once again with the incredible team at Apple TV+, this time on a project that is very personal to me and my family,” said director Ben Stiller. “It’s exciting to finally get to share it with audiences; and a great honor to celebrate my parents, both as I knew them growing up, and as I’ve come to know them in new ways through the making of this film.”
The documentary is produced by Stiller alongside an award-winning team, including John Lesher and Geoffrey Richman. It joins a growing slate of Apple Original Films and follows the continued success of Stiller’s hit series ‘Severance’ on the platform.
