Tommy Lee Jones and his family are mourning an unimaginable loss. The Oscar-winning actor has spoken out following the death of his daughter, Victoria Jones, who was found dead in San Francisco on New Year’s Day.
As reported here on Fresh Quench, she was just 34.
Reacting to the news in a statement shared with E! News on January 2, the family asked for privacy as they grieve.
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Victoria was discovered in a hotel room in the early hours of January 1. The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed responding to a medical emergency at 2:52 a.m., with paramedics pronouncing the individual dead at the scene. Her official cause of death has not been released.
Victoria, an actress, made her screen debut at age 11 in ‘Men in Black II’ alongside her father and Will Smith. She later appeared in ‘The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada’, ‘The Homesman’, and briefly on ‘One Tree Hill’. Jones previously spoke with pride about her talent and dedication, once calling her “a good actress” with a deep love for language and craft.
Sad.
