Maluma and Kany García are serving up romance with a side of Colombian flavor.
The Latin superstar and Puerto Rican singer-songwriter have joined forces for ‘1+1’, a vibrant romantic Salsa track that celebrates loving boldly and without hesitation. The collaboration marks a unique cultural bridge between their respective countries, blending Maluma’s signature charisma with García’s emotional depth and lyrical honesty.
Written and produced between Turks and Caicos and Miami by the duo alongside Rafael Arcaute, Ily Wonder, MadMusick, Jonathan Rivera, and Richi López, the track delivers playful, daring lyrics that invite listeners to leave guilt at the door and embrace desire. The magnetic vocal chemistry between the two artists creates a compelling exchange that feels both natural and electric.
The accompanying music video, directed by Stillz and shot in Medellín, serves as a love letter to Colombian culture. Built around the creation of a traditional bandeja paisa, the visual embraces an analogue energy filled with expressive gestures and rhythmic movement. The narrative unfolds through scenes of rural farm life, transporting produce, bustling local markets, and a butcher shop, culminating in Maluma’s kitchen where the iconic dish is prepared with humor and passion. The closing moment shows García enjoying a classic paisa breakfast while Maluma prepares a traditional lunchbox, symbolizing food made with love and shared with intention.
Speaking on the release, Maluma described the project as an invitation to dive into a musical and visual experience full of flavor, passion, and authenticity.
