There’s a sense of full-circle reflection in the air as mgk answers a long-running fan request with the release of his new single and video, ‘Times of My Life’. The track, which has quietly built a cult following online over the years, finally steps into the spotlight as a raw snapshot of love, loss, and personal reckoning.
Originally penned during sessions for his 2020 breakthrough album ‘Tickets to My Downfall’, the song finds the Cleveland native revisiting emotions that never quite faded. Recorded alongside longtime collaborator Travis Barker, the release reunites much of the creative circle behind August’s ‘Lost Americana’, lending the track a familiar yet matured edge.
Musically, ‘Life’ blends Pop-Punk and Emo textures with acoustic guitar, cello, and piano, anchored by a hook that leans hard into nostalgia. It is understated but emotionally heavy, mirroring an artist looking back without flinching.
The timing also aligns with the ongoing ‘Lost Americana Tour,’ which continues across Europe, the UK, and Australia before returning to North America later this spring. As of now, the tour is set to run well into 2026.
