Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are entering a new era with their charitable work, bringing their children along for the journey.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced Friday (December 19) that their Archewell Foundation is being rebranded as Archewell Philanthropies as the organization celebrates its fifth anniversary.
The move shifts the charity to a fiscal sponsorship model, a structure that offers greater flexibility while reducing administrative burdens. More significantly, the evolution creates a formal space for six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet within the couple’s philanthropic framework.
The Sussexes released their 2025 impact report alongside the announcement. Co-executive directors James Holt and Shauna Nep reflected on the milestone:
“Five years ago, The Archewell Foundation was born from a simple but profound belief: to show up and do good. Today, as we mark our fifth anniversary, that mission remains as vital and urgent as ever, now carried forward through Archewell Philanthropies, a growing platform designed to deepen and expand how we serve communities around the world.”
The couple’s 2024 business filings revealed their largest grant of $150,000 went to Screen Sanity to support child online safety education. The rebrand comes as Archewell Productions maintains its deal with Netflix, which recently partnered with the Duchess on her ‘With Love, Meghan‘ series and ‘As Ever‘ lifestyle brand.
Archie and Lilibet made a rare public appearance in November, helping prepare meals with their parents through a partnership with Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles.
